Jewelry Care & Sizing Information
Here are a few hints to keep your jewelry in the best condition. Silver will naturally tarnish over time. It is generally a good idea to remove jewelry when showering or bathing. Chlorinated water or saltwater will affect the finish on some items of jewelry so it is recommended to avoid wearing them. Of course if you don’t mind a patina or a natural aging of the piece, then feel free to wear in those conditions.
Keep away from extreme temperatures and avoid wearing jewelry around household cleaners such as bleach. Store pieces individually in pouches or jewelry box to avoid scratching and tangling. Gold and silver can be cleaned using a soft, lint free cloth. There are plenty of store purchased cleaning products which can be used to polish and brighten your jewelry. Just be sure to read the instructions carefully as there are specific chemicals that cannot be used on certain materials or stones.
Measure the finger on which you intend to wear the ring. Do this at the end of the day when it is neither hot or cold as that can affect sizing. Easiest way to do this if you don’t know your size is to wrap a piece of paper around your finger but making sure there is enough room to slip it over your knuckle. Compare this paper to a ruler and if in between sizes, opt for the large size.
